Breaching for First Responders & Active Shooter Response

Law Enforcement administrators have embraced the concept of the first responder.  They now realize that the officers that arrive first to the scene of an active shooter cannot wait for SWAT to arrive.  Agencies have shown their officers how to respond with Rapid Deployment Tactics. Officers have hopefully been equipped with long guns so that they can adequately deal with engaging the suspect, but have they overlooked an important factor in their Active Shooter training?  Has the agency made a dangerous assumption in trainng, that is going to leave their officers stuck on the outside of a building which is in lockdown, or has been fortified by the suspect(s).

Spartan International has designed this course, which will introduce and/or enhance the patrol officer's knowledge and experience in the application of forced entry tools and first responder patrol tactics.  This course is a must for Campus Law Enforcement Officers and Municipal Law Enforcement Officers.  Course objectives will be accomplished through classroom presentation and hands on application.

Course will cover the proper selection of breaching equipment for patrol, proper use of these tools, role and proper use of ballistic breaching, defeating glass, fire rated, commercial doors, and other commonly found construction material.
